Australian Visa information
The following is some important information on obtaining an
Australian visa. All international participants who are not Australians
are required to obtain a visa before travelling to Australia. Please
read the following information carefully:

Applying for an ETA (Visitor), Subclass 976
There are three ways to apply for an ETA (Visitor):
- via a travel agent, airline or specialist service provider who can arrange an ETA on the traveller's behalf; or
- the traveller applying directly via the Internet; or
- the traveller applying at an Australian visa office overseas.
An ETA (Visitor) does not attract a visa application charge, however if you apply for your ETA on the Internet you will incur a Service Charge of AUS$20.

Applying for a Tourist visa from outside Australia
There are two ways to apply for a Tourist visa, subclass 676 from outside Australia:
Apply online via the Internet
This service is currently available to passport holders from specified countries and regions only. These are listed on the Electronic Tourist Visa - Eligible Passports list. If you are eligible, you can apply by either:
- using a registered travel agent, airline service or specialist provider to lodge a Tourist visa application on your behalf. A number of travel agents, airlines and specialist service providers have registered with the department to access this service. A list of participating agents is available through the Registered Agents List list.
- lodging your own electronic visa application over the Internet on the eVisa website at: http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/visit.htm
Electronic Travel Authority (ETA):- Andorra, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco,The Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Poland, Qatar, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland Taiwan*, UAE, USA, United Kingdom - British Citizen, United Kingdom - British National (Overseas)**, Vatican City
Apply on a paper application form
Use this option:
- if you are not eligible to apply for an ETA (Visitor); and
- if you are not eligible to apply for a Tourist visa over the Internet.
To apply for a Tourist visa on a paper application form (from offshore):
- use Form 48R, Application to visit Australia for tourism or other recreational activities, if you are not an ETA-eligible passport holder.
Paper applications can be lodged by mail or in person at an
Australian government office overseas. Information about special
arrangements for lodgement of visa applications at specific Australian
government offices overseas may be found on the department's website or
by contacting your nearest Australian government office.
